Bukit Jalil LRT Station
The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station at Bukit Jalil was built during the same period as the national Sports Complex to serve the public for the Commonwealth Games in 1998. The original roof composite membrane had suffered irreversible premature ageing and damages and its canopy required total replacement.
The biggest challenge for Catonic (M) Sdn. Bhd. in undertaking this project is that the job was carried out on a fully operational platform and LRT line and also the very small window of working hours allowed over the critical areas. Thus it carries a heavy burden on safety and working area issues but this was overcome by the very close working relationship developed with all parties involved during the duration of the project.
It was successfully completed just before the start of the SEA Games 2017, Kuala Lumpur.
